A DECEIVING WORLD
Appraised of his good manner and bravery, Alhaji Mudi, the most generous rich man in their area, gives Bala appointment as the manager in one of his companies in Apapa, Lagos. This generates tension and makes Hajia Turai, the first wife of Alhaji and her nephew Dantala and Dangarinna, the retainer of the house, envious. They trap Bala and victimize him but their evils do not affect him. They poison Alhaji Mudi to death and rob him of huge sums of money. On his part, Alhaji Olu, a close friend of the late Alhaji Mudi promises to help Bala. He asks him to head his company at the Osolo Industrial Estate. Iyabo, the daughter of Alhaji Olu, falls in love with Bala. She is impressed by his good manners and transparency in his dealings with people. But her former lover, Dangarinnan, kills her in a fit of jealousy. Bala mourns her but is consoled by living with his second wife, Hadiza, who is also killed by Dantala. He marries Hadiza’s immediate sister and live happily with her in Lagos.
